‘Luva de Pedreiro: Viral Moves’
HBO Docu Series Audio Description

I had the privilege of recording the audio description for HBO’s three-part docuseries about Iran Ferreira—better known as Luva de Pedreiro.

It’s the kind of story that moves fast: a small-town kid in Brazil trades for his first phone in 2020, starts posting soccer videos with big-league flair and unforgettable catchphrases, and suddenly he’s everywhere.

“My job was to make sure audiences who are blind or have low vision could experience every beat—on and off the field—with the same energy and clarity as the visuals.”

Audio description is more than reading what’s on screen. It’s pacing the details in the pockets between dialogue, choosing the right words at the right moment, and staying true to the filmmaker’s tone.

For Luva, that meant capturing quick footwork, scrappy back-lot pitches, and the rush of going viral. So I kept the delivery warm, precise, and unobtrusive, so viewers can track the action, the emotion, and the arc.

As the series digs into the pressure of fame—early contracts, public scrutiny, and a legal battle—the description shifts with it.
We anchor the transitions: a crowded press line, a private conversation, a late-night scroll through comments that hits harder than expected. The goal is always the same: give just enough context to keep you inside the scene, never outside it.

What I love about this project is the balance.
You get the joy of a kid who dares to dream—and the real-world weight that comes with millions of eyes watching.

With close collaboration across post-production, we made sure cues, timing, and terminology felt natural in both Portuguese and English contexts, and that the momentum of the edit stayed intact.

If you’re producing documentaries, series, or brand films and want accessible storytelling that feels seamless, I bring broadcast-ready audio, direction-friendly sessions, and fast turnarounds.
Let’s make your project inclusive from day one—so everyone gets the full story.
