Every so often, I’ll cook up a concept piece just to stretch the muscles.
This Audi project was exactly that- a personal test drive for my voiceover and video editing chops, not an official commercial, just me asking: “What if I built an Audi spot from the ground up?” Short answer: not too bad. Long answer: I had a blast.
“Creatively, I aimed for that signature Audi vibe—sleek, modern, a little bit cinematic. The kind of piece that feels like a night drive through the city: clean lines, quiet confidence, and just enough adrenaline under the surface. I kept the VO close and controlled, with a tone that says power without shouting. Think: precision over volume, presence over hype.”
The story arc was simple by design:
I let the words work like design cues—minimal, intentional. Phrases that sit in the pocket with the music and let the visuals lead. For pacing, I leaned into contrast: calm beats that stretch into quick cuts, then back to stillness. It gives the piece a pulse—like the car is breathing.
On the edit side, I kept things crisp and responsive: bold typography, negative space, and transitions that feel like shifts in torque. The VO sits low and textured, never crowding the frame, just guiding the eye. It’s a balance of sound and silence, motion and pause—the same discipline that makes a great drive great.
What I loved most?
The mood. You don’t need to say much when the craft speaks. You just set the tone and get out of the way. I believe this concept did that well—refined, intentional, and undeniably Audi.
If you’re building a concept, a pitch film, or a brand piece that needs a voice with restraint and presence, Automotive is my thing. I bring rhythm, taste, and a steady hand—on mic and in the edit—to help your story glide…….
