‘The Negotiators’ series by Reveel Narration

“When a person is making one of the biggest investments of their lives, they may know a real estate agent—but what they need is a NEGOTIATOR!”

The Negotiators was my first in-show narration gig, and it ran for five seasons.

Each episode from Reveel followed top real estate agents from around the U.S. as they navigated complex deals—buyers, sellers, curveballs, and all.
The cast would reenact the full journey from first showing to close, and my job was to guide the audience through the stakes, the strategy, and the turning points.

My Process

  • Discovery and tone: Early on, I worked closely with the producer to nail the show’s voice—confident, informed, and paced like a real negotiation. The balance was key: keep viewers leaning in without overselling the drama.
  • Session workflow: We held weekly directed sessions, going line by line and recording three takes per line. That gave editorial the flexibility to choose a read that matched the picture edit, music bed, and moment-to-moment tension.
  • Narrative arc: I tracked the emotional throughline for each episode—setting the stakes in the cold open, tightening pace during offer/counteroffer sequences, and easing into a confident, satisfying resolution when the deal finally closed.
  • Technical polish: Consistent mic placement, noise floor control in a treated booth, and careful breath and timing edits ensured continuity across pickups and multiple episode sessions.

The Learning Curve

I’ll be honest….at first, balancing authority, warmth, and momentum was a challenge, but those weekly “three-take” reviews with the producer were invaluable.
Once we locked the tonal palette; measured, expert, and human, the narration clicked. From there, I could really put the viewer in the room with both the agent and the buyer, honoring the complexity of real negotiations – while keeping the story moving.

The Result

Five seasons of clear, engaging narration that supported the edit, elevated the tension when needed, and gave viewers a front-row seat to how great real estate agents problem-solve.
It was a demanding assignment—and incredibly rewarding.
