Some stories pull you in with a single question.

This one starts with two: how can we predict a solar eclipse centuries ahead, but only forecast the weather a week or two out?
And can something tiny—like a butterfly’s wing—really nudge something massive, like a hurricane?
That curiosity led MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) meteorologist Edward N. Lorenz to a discovery that reshaped how we see the world: chaos theory.

I was tapped to voice the documentary that explores Lorenz’s work from the inside—guided by scientists who knew him and built on his ideas.
My approach was simple: keep the narration clear, human, and a little bit wonder-struck.
The film isn’t just about equations and early computers; it’s about what those tools revealed—that some systems aren’t hard to predict because they’re complicated, but because unpredictability is built into their math. That’s the real context behind the famous “butterfly effect.”

Working on this project meant pacing the story so big concepts land without feeling heavy.

We move from the clatter of early digital machines to the elegant chaos hiding in everyday phenomena—weather patterns, ecosystems, even markets.
The tone is curious and inviting, giving viewers room to connect the dots for themselves.

This film is the first about Lorenz made with participation from colleagues who worked alongside him, and that perspective shows.
It feels personal, grounded, and honest—less myth, more discovery.
My job was to carry that spirit: steady, approachable, and just enough lift to match the “aha” moments.

Recognition for the project includes selections at the American Documentary Film Festival, Philip K. Dick Film Festival, Raw Science, Sci-On!, Lift-Off Global Network Online Documentary Film Festival, Academia Film Olomouc, LabMeCrazy, and more.

If you’re producing a documentary, explainer, or brand story that needs clarity without the corporate sheen, I’m in my element. Direction-friendly sessions, fast turnarounds, and a voice that makes complex ideas feel close.
